A five-year journey of prayer, renewal and mission across the South Pacific

South Pacific for Christ is a five-year movement across the South Pacific Division to refocus the Seventh-day Adventist Church on its core purpose: mission. From 2025 to 2030, this initiative calls every conference, mission, local church and member to step forward with renewed clarity, courage and commitment to sharing the hope of Jesus.

Rooted in our Adventist identity and belief in the soon return of Jesus, South Pacific for Christ is about more than events—it is about creating disciples and cultivating a culture of intentional evangelism. It is a movement built on training, collaboration and spiritual renewal, equipping people to go out into their communities and live the call, “I Will Go.”

Pastor Erton Köhler

General Conference president

The launch of South Pacific for Christ, held April 28 to May 2, brought together leaders, pastors and members from across the region for a time of worship, prayer, vision casting and evangelistic training. Following the launch, the movement now continues through regional initiatives across the South Pacific: Trans Pacific for Christ in July-August, 2026, New Zealand Pacific for Christ in 2027, Australia for Christ in 2028, and Papua New Guinea for Christ in 2029. In 2030, the movement will extend beyond the South Pacific Division as members unite to support the evangelistic efforts of our sister division, the Southern Asia-Pacific Division, continuing the spirit of collaboration, mission and shared commitment to reaching people with the hope of Jesus.

At its heart, South Pacific for Christ invites every believer to ask, What is my church doing? What is God calling me to do? Whether serving as an evangelist, supporting local outreach or simply learning how to share faith more naturally, this movement creates space for everyone to participate.

When you find Jesus, you discover your true purpose. When you step into mission, you become part of something greater than yourself—part of God’s kingdom agenda, part of God’s story. South Pacific for Christ is an invitation to step up, be inspired and share faith—together.
