Honiara’s main road received a major clean-up on March 29 conducted by Seventh-day Adventist church groups in the city.
Chairman of the Solomon Islands for Christ steering committee, Pastor Newton Langai, said the upcoming evangelism program is not just about preaching, but also about helping and caring for the community.
“Today, many churches in Honiara came together to collect rubbish, clean roads and clear local drains as a way of caring for our city,” he said.

According to local leaders, many young people joined the activity and were excited to help, believing that cleanliness is important and reflects godly values.
Pastor Langai said similar clean-up activities are happening in other centres around the country.
The clean-up will continue as part of preparations for the Solomon Islands for Christ program in July.—Solomon Islands for Christ Facebook page
