‘I have been pierced by the truth’

She came to Kiribati from Rabi, Fiji, simply for a visit. Little did she know that her journey would become a divine appointment with God.

Invited to attend the second phase of the Kiribati for Christ evangelistic meetings at Tenangmaereere, she listened night after night as God’s Word was opened. Through the gentle working of the Holy Spirit, the message touched her heart deeply—and she responded to the call for baptism.

After being congratulated by church members following her baptism, she turned to one of the ladies and shared words that revealed what had happened in her heart: “I have been pierced hard by the truth and the power of God’s Word.”

The lady comes from a strong Catholic family and now becomes the first Adventist in her family. She expressed deep gratitude that she came to Kiribati—because here, she says, she found the truth.

As she spoke, tears streamed down her face. They were not tears of sorrow, but tears of joy—the joy of discovering Christ and responding to His call.—Kiribati for Christ Facebook page
